   This is my first ever Amazon review. I just couldn’t sit back and watch these little skins get slammed when people were cramming them on the wrong camera.

   First of all, these skins are meant for the Flip Video Classic. The lens is off center. If you do not have the Classic, do not buy these skins. If you do have it, I highly recommend them. And if you buy them even though you don’t have the Classic, have the class not to give a bad rating just because you made the wrong choice.

   So, start by checking your camera. Is the lens off center? Look at the holes in the skins on the picture. Would they fit your camera right?

   Now why should you buy these? A) they are cute! B) they are easy to use C) they are interchangeable D) they protect your snazzy Flip Video E) they are non-slip.

   Mine came in a day before expected, a welcome surprise at the front door. I grabbed the pink one and slid it on the camera. It fit perfectly. The power button is covered, but still works easily. The USB arm is also covered, but its location makes it easy to get to, as the skin will just pull over the corner of the camera. The skin is fairly thick which gives me confidence that it will withstand a bit more of a tumble than it would have. It is also somewhat slip-resistant so little hands (like my 6 year old’s) can cling to it better.

   All in all I love the skins. Get them, but only if you have the right camera. And if you don’t have the right camera but buy them anyway - don’t leave a bad review just because you made a mistake.

   Flip ASK1CP1 Skins for Flip Camcorders (Pink, Orange, White)

   The skins Flip ASK1CP1 Skins for Flip Camcorders (Pink, Orange, White) are lovely off the flip video but unfortunately they don’t fit the flip video I bought Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder, 60-Minutes (White). The lens cutout is off center and the skin mold is made for an item that is wider and thicker. The on switch is covered by the skin as well. I cut the skin so it did not cover the lens, which makes it look stupid but at least it works. The colors are nice and the videro screen and wrist stap cutouts line up nicely. Overall, it will help to protect the flip video but is not a pretty sight! The skins were priced right so that returning them is more bother than its worth.

   The skins are great if you own the older version of the Flip Video camcorder (the ones that are not “Ultra”). They are thick and strong enough to protect against scratches and bumps. You have three colors to chose form (two color and clear) and they are easy enough to put on and get off your camcorder.

   These skins do not seem to be designed as a fashion accessory but if you are looking to protect your camcorder in most environments - this is a great solution.
