Flip Questions

Today my Dad just bought me a new flip and I was wondering how I import videos. Like, what do I click on to download them? Do I have to have a certain application?

You don’t import them… you copy them like any other file copied from an external device.
The problem is that the highly compressd MPEG2 files are not in a format that iMovieHD can understand, so the video files need to be converted.
    Download and install StreamCliphttp://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/vi…
Then, after copying the files from the camcorder to your Mac, you need to convert them to something iMovieHD can understand… DV, .mov, .mp4… Then drag the translated/converted files into the clips pane or the timeline and edit…
