I think it is. However, many of the little digital photo cameras now also have video functions. That might be enough for you. Check how long of a video the camera can make. It is always nice to travel light.
I just went to the site to see what that was.. and like the most memory you can get is like 60 minutes.
If you prob don’t think you’ll be filming that long.. and if you don’t really mind the quality… then i guess you should buy it.
Flip camera is to plug in to your computer not for tapes/casettes.
Its lightweight, but can store virtually nothing, not even close to enough.
Get a real camcorder. A tad bit heavier but an all around better product.
Try JVC camera’s
well if youre going to europe for a while it should be worth it if it isnt too expensive. maybe try a cheap camera with video built in. unless you are going to use it after europe. i have the exilim and i love it. it was definitely worth it. its thin and lightweight and takes great pictures and videos. if you just want the video camera then there is one i found thats cheap and looks decent. its the second link at the bottom.hope i could help!

you can find one that isnt too expensive. i wouldnt buy a super fancy one just to use in europe.
